The core vision of PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games is "New Horizons", which represents a window of opportunity to promote winter sports in Asia and transform Gangwon Province into hub in Asia for winter sports and tourism". The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games aims to bequeath an ever-lasting legacy through achieving Olympics focused on "Economy", "Environment", "Culture" and "Peace" with the motto, "PyeongChang 2018, creating a new horizon for sustainability: Furthering benefits to human and nature". In this context POCOG developed this CSR guideline for sustainable operation of the 2018 PyeongChang Games in three pillars of sustainable development, namely environmental, social and economic along the entire process of preparation, operation and decommissioning of the Games. This guideline intends to help the 2018 PyeongChang Games be managed in a sustainable manner and to induce CSR management of all participating entities for the preparation and operations of the Games. POCOG shall make an utmost effort for the diffusion of CSR culture through setting a framework of CSR performances.
