Paralympic assemblages globalizing international relations : an autoethnographic account of global politics at the Paralympic Games / Andrew Heffernan

Heffernan, Andrew

The Paralympics and more specifically Paralympic athletes can be viewed as a useful microcosm of contemporary global politics. The author offers an autoethnographic account of his experiences as an athlete, at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, and at multiple international para-athletics competitions where he witnessed modern International Relations play out in interesting, useful, and important ways.
